Castlewellan employee Leanne Molloy has been through a couple of very tough years.  First she was diagnosed with Oesophageal Cancer, which involved lots of scans, tests and chemotherapy before going on to give birth to her beautiful baby Girl.  Leanne has spoken of her journey, the treatments and how she copes with life today.

Everyone at McKeevers Chemists is absolutely thrilled to see Leanne making such good progress.  She is a valued member of our Castlewellan team, and she has been though an emotional roller coaster over the last number of years.  She fought her battle courageously and as if life wasn’t busy enough with her beautiful girls, Rhia (10) and Nova (18 Weeks) , Leanne has spoken out to raise awareness of Oesophageal Cancer.

In her own words, Leanne explained ‘Cancer is a scary word to hear, but if it’s caught early, there are a lot of treatment options available now. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but it’s all about getting it early and knowing your body. You just have to suck it up and get on with it.’

She is an amazing inspiration to others who face the battle of cancer every day.  She’s also a reminder to each of us in McKeevers Chemists not to take the little things in life for granted and to live, laugh and love every day for we don’t know what’s around the corner…
